Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Customer Service and Sales Associate to join our team at The UPS Store in the Central West End. You’ll be responsible for taking care of customer requests and driving business in print, shipping, mailbox services and other UPS services by actively engaging with customers and finding solutions to their needs. The UPS Store Customer Service and Sales Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on an array of products, services, and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on creating opportunities, hustling, and turning every interaction into a potential business deal.   • Ability to work afternoons, evenings and/or weekend days. We are open 7 days a week.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their business needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Promote and sell UPS services such as printing, packaging, shipping, mailbox services, and other business-related services.
  • Cultivate new business opportunities by networking and actively seeking out business clients.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Sell print services by identifying opportunities for large print jobs (e.g., banners, blueprints, business cards, flyers, brochures, marketing materials).
  • Maintain an expert understanding of UPS services, pricing, and store policies to provide clear and confident information to customers.
  • Collaborate with the store team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals and customer service targets.
  • Ensure a positive, welcoming environment for all customers.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Notary license is required. If you do not have one, it is a requirement to get it within the first 30 days of starting in the role. Bonus paid on each notary completed.
  • Proven experience in sales, retail, or a customer-facing role.
  • Familiarity with print services, shipping, or packaging is a plus but not required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites and Canva.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and co-workers quickly.
  • Prompt, reliable, and responsible.
  • Able to lift 40+ pounds
What We Offer:
  • Starting pay $15-$18 per hour, depending on job experience
  • Monthly sales commissions based on achieving individual sales and customer service targets
  • 15-25 hours a week; more during peak season.
