Position: Graphic Designer

Location: Jackson, MI (Hybrid)

Duration: 08+ months

Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and creative Video & Multimedia Specialist to join our Visual Design and Multimedia Team, part of a 20–25-person in-house Creative Services department. This hybrid role requires occasional on-site work in Jackson, MI (typically once per week) to support the video team with editing tasks, along with periodic field assignments at various locations throughout Michigan.

This position plays a key role in enhancing our video production capabilities, contributing to external communications, and supporting product-related graphic design efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing, photography, and multimedia design, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced creative environment.

Department:

Visual Design and Multimedia Team – part of a collaborative in-house creative services group. The video department is currently small and lean, and this role is intended to bolster its capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the video team with editing tasks and production needs on-site in Jackson as required (typically once weekly).
  • Participate in fieldwork, capturing video and photography content at various Michigan-based sites (as needed).
  • Edit and produce engaging video content for social media, paid media campaigns, and internal/external communications.
  • Contribute to photography and video shoots for marketing and brand initiatives.
  • Assist with graphic design work related to product and marketing materials, adhering to brand standards.
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, and other members of the creative and marketing teams to support campaign development and visual storytelling.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro (required)
  • Photoshop
  • Adobe Animate and After Effects (preferred)
  • Strong experience in video editing, particularly for social media and branded content.
  • Ability to shoot high-quality video and still photography in both studio and field environments.
  • Experience with timeline editing and motion graphics is a plus.
  • Strong design skills, particularly for digital assets (e.g., email campaigns and marketing visuals).
  • Portfolio submission required, showcasing both design and video/photography work.
