Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
Location: Gainesville, FL 32614
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Compensation & Incentives

• Pay Range: $22.66 – $32.86 per hour (based on experience)

• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

• Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis

• Shift Differentials:

  • Nights: +$3.25/hr

  • Weekends: +$2.00/hr

  • Evenings (for 8/10-hr shifts): +$2.00/hr

  • On-Call: +$4.00/hr

  • Call-Back: Time and a half

Shifts Available

• Days: 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (12-hour) or 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (10-hour)

• Evenings: 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. (12-hour) or 10:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. (10-hour)

• On-Call: Must be able to respond within 30 minutes

Position Overview

We are hiring a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join our surgical team in Gainesville, FL. In this role, you will support surgeons and nurses by preparing the surgical environment, managing sterile instruments, and assisting with procedures to ensure safe, effective patient care. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, team players who bring strong clinical and technical skills to the OR.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field during procedures

• Perform scrub duties and anticipate needs of the surgical team

• Identify, handle, and pass instruments and supplies accurately

• Assist with pre- and post-operative patient care under the direction of a nurse

• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members throughout procedures

Qualifications

• Experience:

  • Preferred: 2 years of CST experience in acute care settings (not required)

• Licensure:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required

• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – must be obtained within 30 days of hire

• Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited vocational or technical surgical tech program
