Now Hiring: Bilingual Receptionist (English/Spanish) In Partnership with Harris County Downtown Houston, TX | Full-Time Openwork is proud to partner with Harris County in hiring a Bilingual Receptionist to support the Community Supervision Unit. This front-facing role plays a vital role in supporting public-facing operations and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced, professional environment. As the Bilingual Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors. You'll be responsible for managing a caseload, maintaining accurate records, and providing consistent, high-quality service while supporting administrative functions. Your bilingual communication skills will be critical in serving a diverse community with professionalism and empathy. Key Responsibilities: Greet clients and answer calls courteously, routing inquiries to the appropriate personnel or agency. Open and maintain Community Supervision files in both digital and hard copy formats. Process and manage caseloads, including clients reporting by mail who are in good standing with child support payments. Communicate with clients via phone, email, chat, and official correspondence. Submit reports using the Harris County e-filing system. Accurately document all actions taken on client cases in the management system and on log sheets. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area; monitor appropriate client behavior. Perform administrative tasks including document delivery/pickup between County departments, DPS checks, and referral tracking. Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of receptionist, customer service, or secretarial experience in an office setting. Bilingual (English and Spanish) required. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with Windows 2000/XP. Strong telephone and communication skills. Excellent research, filing, and organizational abilities. Ability to manage a high volume of tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as in a team. Work Schedule & Conditions: Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour. Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break). Employment Type : Full-time. Work Environment : Professional office setting with occasional travel to other County departments. Physical Demands: Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, and navigate stairs as needed.
